On 7 March 2022, the first newly extended ITV Evening News was broadcast at 6:30pm on ITV with Mary Nightingale, who continues to be main anchor of the show, with slightly tweaked on screen graphics, and with the addition of the national ITV Weather bulletin, usually presented by Alex Beresford now being broadcast during the hour show in the studio.
